shmethan.com is a website made by me, Ethan, as a center for all of my projects. Some will be available directly on the site, some will be linked to externally. Everything here is made out of a passion for web development and computer science in general.

I have been programming for over 5 years and have been interested in coding since middle school. I believe that web development can be the ultimate form of artistic expression, since it provides unparalleled options for multimedia and design. In an ideal world, the internet would be a canvas and us the paintbrushes, but this is not often the case.

With the degredation of Google search, the corporatization of the internet, and the general direction of online freedoms and privacy, the parts of the internet I like are dwindling by the minute. This website was made partially to express myself creatively in a way I feel is lacking in the modern web.
